Invite for Photography Talk (Free Entry)


Photo Corner in association with Piramal Gallery, NCPA is organizing a pre book launch talk with photographer Fawzan Husain who is launching his photobook ‘Between Bombay and Mumbai’ later this month.

Fawzan will discuss with the participants on how one can ‘build up a photo story’ on the spot while they venture out to do street photography and a special talk to discuss the insides of ‘how to plan for a photography exhibition’.

The book.
Fawzan has been shooting the city that he has lived for 25 years. 
He has captured the moods and its changes through these years. The book is a journey by a photographer that has explored the nook and corner of the Mumbai. The photographs showcase the evolution of Bombay to Mumbai through B&W to Colour and the all new Digital.

Fawzan Husain’s Bio
Fawzan Husain has over 25 years of experience in photography.  Earlier, he was associated with Mid-Day Publications and then with India Today magazine for more than a decade. Fawzan has been working as a freelance photographer and taking independent projects since 2006.
In his career, Fawzan has done nine solo exhibitions and 12 group shows in major metros of India. His work has also been exhibited in Singapore, China, and London.
His pictures have found space in many international publications namely; The New York Times, The London Telegraph, GEO, Época Negócios -Brazil, South China Morning Post Hongkong and Asiaweek etc.
His work is also included in the permanent collection of The Museum of Fine Art, Houston, Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan and Hotel `The Park’ in Bangalore, India.
Fawzan was invited to China twice. First, when he represented India for `World Photographers Focusing on Beijing’ and recently after winning an HPA award. He was part of `Click Art’ team from India to Singapore. Fawzan’s work is represented by Tasveer in India.
