2 DAY BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
The basic photography workshop aims to cover topics such as ‘getting off the ‘auto’ mode’ and learning how to better understand the way your camera works in order to reduce the amount of disappointing images and non-productive results. Participants will be taking control of creative aspects such as depth-of-field and motion blur. Participants will finish the course being able to look at a photograph and really critique it and understand why it works, why it doesn’t.
The participants won’t be the only one judging since a special photo walk session has been planned along with the mentor in the heart of the city ‘Chor Bazaar’.
THEORY SESSION
Participants will learn about f-stops, blurring, panning, shutter speeds, ambient light and many more topics. The mentor will focus on each of these topics by going in-depth which will be well balanced with class assignments, photo walk exploring two different techniques and portfolio review of the photo walk by each participant along with critiques of mentor.

PRACTICAL SESSION
The purpose of the Chor Bazaar Photo Walk is to offer more than just a guided photo walk to Mumbai’s most photogenic location. As a regular photographer, Aslam has been documenting the area and will lead you to many hidden photographic gems that Chor Bazaar offers. The unique approach of the workshop is designed in a way through which participants will try and learn on how to improve visual awareness while shooting on the street.Photography is not about pointing the camera in the right direction and pressing the shutter. It is, of course, about seeing and therefore the aim is for you to leave the workshop not only a better photographer but also with a keener eye and a greater appreciation of your surroundings.
