A) This will be an interactive workshop that will cover the following topics:
· Why use Lightroom?
· Basic workflow
· Library Module: Photo organization – Catalog, Collections, Publishing, Backup
· Develop Module: Basic editing which includes White Balance, Exposure, Tones, Noise reduction and sharpening
· Publish: Adding watermarks, exporting, publishing to Facbook and other sharing sites
· Workflow optimization: Presets, Keywords
· Techniques for portraits, black and white, landscapes
Q) Who is leading the workshop?
A) Ashwin Dias will lead the workshop; he started his photographic adventure shooting black and white portraits on a manual film SLR back in 2005. He is passionate about both the photographic output and the scientific process behind it (he used to develop film in his own darkroom).
He is primarily a travel photographer with a focus on nature and people. His assignments have taken him across the world including the Baltics, Russia and South East Asia. Some of his work is available at
