Food Photography Workshop
(24th Nov & 1st Dec)
This workshop is open for anyone to join. Just bring along your camera, which could be a compact, DSLR, or even a smart phone camera. The workshop will teach how to achieve the best result from the camera you have.
This is a 100% practical workshop which will allow you to shoot various types of food, how to develop the basic set-up concept.
We will also play with props and learn how to do food styling, the basics of composition, how to control natural and artificial light along with white balance, experimenting with various camera angles including focusing and defocusing of food with different textures.
Lunch is included and that’s when you can put what you’ve learned into practice.
On the second Sunday all the participants of the workshop will meet up at Noodle Town to get a real life experience to shoot in an outdoor location in a cafe outlet. Participants will form their own team experimenting as both, a stylist and a photographer shooting four different types of noodles. The Participants are free to bring in their own ingredients and props to style.
The winning team will get receive a goodie bag.

MENTORS
Amruta Karnik is a Mumbai based photographer specializing in artistically lit photography for various industries like advertising, packaging, magazines and publications. She holds a master-craftsman degree in professional photography along with a applied art degree from L.S.Raheja School of Art.
She has photographed for Mad Over Donuts (MOD), Chocolateria San Churros, 21 Fahrenheit Ice Lounge, Phizer, Reliance, Tata Wiron, Alkem Laboratories Ltd, Peninsula Grand Hotel, Nutrela, Frexpress, Camby Tiger and many more.
She has been awarded master-craftsman photographer of the year 2008 and Top Gun Photographer of the year 2008 at Luxoculus Photography Festival.
Amrita Kaur Ramsinghani aka Life Ki Recipe was an RJ before realizing that the kitchen holds deeper secrets. She reviews restaurants, conducts cooking workshops across the country, Makes artisan spreads and Sells happiness in jars. Working out of home based pantry in Versova, she is known as Bacon Jam lady among food lovers.
Mulchand Dedhia calls himself as a photopreneur, he is an entrepreneur by profession and photographer at heart. He loves start-ups and has three different start ups to his credit. He along with friends moderates an online photography community called ‘Mumbai Weekend Shoot’ In 2012, he co founded Photo Corner, a venture that helps individuals become better photographer. He is a visiting faculty in media colleges where he teaches photography as a subject. His current year mandate includes shooting primarily using a smart phone camera.
